Nite Ize Figure 9 Review & Test

I saw the Nite Ize Figure 9 rope tightener at Lowes and decided to give it a try. The Figure 9 allows you to tighten ropes and cords without knots. If you don’t want to use knots to make a tarp line, you might want to go out and buy a few of these Figure 9’s.

This is a high quality carabiner cord tensioner that allows you to install a tarp line between 2 trees in a matter of moments. No more adjusting guy lines with knots.

Another great review Steve. I’m going to have to take a look at what Nite Ize has to offer, they seem like a practical, solution based company with cool stuff!

#TLDW? Man, you took too long to say your words! Still, I gave it a thumbs up. 🙁

JimmyGunXD556 says:

carabinier should be located between the tree and tarp or hammock.

Heath Shuffield says:

Which do you like better Steve. The can jams or the figure 9?

Nicholas R.M. says:

You are doing it the wrong way! You should tighten just before locking in step 3! That way you don’t have to pinch the rope with your other hand. You can use it single handed!

schlaznger says:

These do work good but throwing a half hitch on it after you pull the tag in into the notch gives a little more piece of mind if you use them for hammock camping like I do.

CromagnonCommando says:

Kinda doin “The Donald” with the Hair-Do, lol. Great info Bro! I own various Camjam’s and was curious about these Figure Nine’s. Gotta get me 4 of em , right now! And even if I don’t need them to hang a tarp, they look like they could be thrown and stick in a bears head , lol…

Meg Hereford says:
