This is an overview of the features and operational use of the Petzl Omni carabiner, which is my preferred connector for use with caving harnesses. This is used as part of a rappelling/descending/ascending system for vertical caving.

Excellent review. I’m a bit old school and I prefer a demi rond maillon. How does the omni’s strength compare to a stainless maillon? – caver from Manila 🙂

I own the tri act as well. A caver from California.
