I like the tail switch too. Much less chance of it coming on accidentally imo. This is nice, but I think I will wait for something less weighty. 18650 lights are a bit too heavy for edc in my opinion. This would be a fine camping light. I take into account the weight of other items that I carry, like knives, multi tools, keychains, and phones and every ounce counts, especially when I am not built in a way that nature holds my pants up. So, since my pants tend to slide down pretty easily, I mitigate that with lower weight gear and a belt that can handle it. Others that might not have a problem with all this stuff might be built on a way where their hip bones snug their clothing up. But I am not built that way and so defer to lightweight edc gear.

I was shopping for a new light and decided to check my favorite channel. Glad I did. I am buying this. I almost picked up that 3 led light, the utorch c8. But this looks better for me. Take care.

Really amazing reviews!!!

bearfoot130 says:

Nice review, I EDC this light, been about a month. As you say, I love having the capability of that turbo, but the front emitter gets instantly warm. I chose the TC15 over the new Fenix PD35 because it’s shorter, brighter, deeper pocket carry, moonlight mode, and cheaper. Nice to know my choice is “WAJK Approved”.

vagabond88817 says:

My favorite lite is the titanium fairy micro you reviewed a couple years ago because it’s always with me on my key chain. And it’s amazingly bright for its size with two modes. Thanks again well worth it.

Cheers Mate!

Nice, I love this single 18650 size group. I’ve been carrying a Klarus xt11gt for almost 2 years and i’ve been waiting even longer for olight to make a competitive single 18650. This might just have to take it’s place instead.

Edit: I also prefer the tail switch. So much so that it can be a real deal-breaker because the side switches get pressed in my pocket. I kinda spoiled myself on the Klarus with it’s two tail switches and side switch… the side switch stays locked, one tail switch goes straight to turbo and the other goes to strobe.

Great vid, love my Thrunite flashlights! Thanks

PowerMadHeadBanger says:

How smooth or stiff is the pocket clip going in and out of the pocket? Does it have battery indicator to know how much charge is left?

Tim says:

Geez a little late Iz…

Capt Dave's Sport Fishing says:

Why do the sheaths always suck on these flashlites? Like knives, they should really get with it. SO MANY knives have shit sheaths. I have a o-light MR2 warrior with such a killer hard holster. plus a soft holster like the one you just showed……I never use it. Really tired of these with all the ”modes” anymore. Serious practicality is all I’m interested in now. did a review on the Coast clip-on head lamp……80 lumens….whoa!!!! I EDC it,!!!! the olight went into a carry bag from now on.

Uncle D says:

I prefer a side switch

Steve Kluver says:

Thanks for this Review!
This really should be a great light. Does it say on your box, exactly what color (K) of light you received? I cannot find this info on their site either. I wonder what they are considering their Neutral White to be. Is it 4500K? 5500K?
I also wonder, just where the CW is on this TC15.

TopDog8762 says:

Another good flashlight review. Got to choose between another tub tactical light or something with a bit more throw and lumens like the Convoy L6 XPH70.2 ? Both about the same price right now. Two completely different platforms but the same price point.

WeAllJuggleKnives says:

Reviewing the Thrunite TC15. Past single 18650 lights from Thrunite have been anywhere from 900-1400 Lumens, and tended to be fairly long tactical designs. The TC15 is a lot more compact than their older lights, and the turbo mode of 2300 lumens gives you a substantial bump up in performance. This light comes with the new protected IMR high discharge rechargeable 18650 that Thrunite is now using, which makes the price of $50 very reasonable.

REAPER MILITIA OUTDOORS says:

Man for a little light that shit is bright great review brother as always.

Barry Hemmy says:

It would be great if THRUNIGHT MADE ANOTHER VERSION OF THE TC15 (TC15X MODEL)WHERE THEY FLARED OUT THE REFLECTOR END A LITTLE MORE TO REACH OUT TO 300 METRES.AWESOME VIDEO AND GREAT LIGHT!!
