Kelty Range 2.0 Trekking Pole Review

The Kelty Range 2.0 trekking poles are of great quality and price. I spent a week with a set of these on the trail and they worked great! They are reliable, simple to use, and really gave me a lot of bang for my buck in terms of quality.

John Dowd says:

youre showing incorrect use of the straps.

Steve Sherron says:

Thanks for the review. I need trekking poles and now I have added these to my list for possible purchase. Thanks for getting into the details.

ben terwellen says:

Great Video, Ty for sharing, I have been thinking about getting a set of poles, and appreciate your review

Scott Rogerson says:

I hold them like ski poles.  This works well for me.

Gary Block says:

Thanks for the video. I really enjoy watching your stuff. One note though. The correct way to use the straps on poles is to go up through the strap and grab the handle, not down through the strap the way you show. You get much better control going up through the strap. Also, if you fall with your hands down through the straps as you have them now the poles will not release from your hands as easily which could cause injury. When you go up through the straps and you fall your hands slip right out as you fall so there is much less chance of getting tangled up in the poles.

Kristen Cooper says:

do you think these are better than the Black Diamond Trail Back poles? Is the flick lock or twist lock mechanism better?

shcmoly says:

Where I day hike, trekking poles are cumbersome because I am occasionally climbing boulders, but out on a long trail, especially if it rocky and your pack is heavy they are mandatory!
