Dom, I suggest you invest in some ‘Danner’ footware. Used lots of military spec gear in my life and the most important thing you can own is good footwear. I still have my desert ‘spec ops’ desert boots made by Oakley. They were comfy as well, which is just as well as you’d be in the arse end of nowhere while wearing them!
Talking from experience, not advertising. If you are going to explore kit, might be an idea to contact distributors to review kit and it might be useful for people wanting a more active lifestyle to suggest brands and steer people away from poor product.
Lost count how many people I met with poor footware who complained about blisters and wrecked feet. I trialed boots before the British army got issued them many years ago, so my feet have been put through hell. They are a foot fetishist’s worst nightmare!
They look like the do a great job. I need to start practicing walking on all types of surfaces, walking uphill, downhill, gravel walkways, traction on wet surfaces,. Thanks for the review!
I can really recommend buying non waterproof shoes and buying seal skinz socks when you really need something waterproof, goretex shoes tend to dry out slowly and make your feet sweaty. Good review though, thanks!
Now THIS is a review. Good job
Awesome video. Really like the Moab line.
Investing in a good pair of shoes, for any sport…it almost essential! Good review Dom, cool vid and what a view of Edinburgh
what camera is this please.
I myself prefer to exclusively use 11euro Decathlon hiking shoes.
Top tip for better ventilation and moisture avoidance in any shoe – wool socks (not vegan though)
I had a pair of Merrel continuum’s. Very good shoes. Very grippy and help to drive the force into the right muscle groups. Really decent shoes.
