Thermos comparison and review

thermos comparison and review.I compare the thermos by Nissan to the Stanley Alladin thermos. The results are astounding. For 30 years I was convinced that there was no better thermos than a Stanley. Then a friend told me about Nissan making thermos now. I researched online and found all the reviews on Nissan to be favorable but found no comparison between the two. Well now there is and I hope people find Thier way to this video before making Thier next thermos purchase “stanley” “thermos” “nissan” “comparison” “compare” “heat retention”

@bubbaisgr8 well my next test will be to soak the beans for 24 hours then put them into the thermos with boiling water. i think ill try them at 8 hours to see if they are done. it would be nice to do that in the morning and have beans ready to eat in the evening.

Thank you for this helpful video.

@woknblues what are wrong with my inglish?

eichioba says:

The vacuum bottles are all very similar…I have spend about 30 USD for a Stanley and after about 3 mounths has lost his vacuum…afther 3 hours the beverage was cold. Stanley was changed me two thermos free, but at now I have throw away 3 thermos Stanley in about 4 mounths. Built for life?! I don’t know, may be if are not MADE IN CHINA. I will try a Nissan or Zojirushi and we will see

@rdnkrfnk i bought mine at bass pro shop over in shreveport. ill check on amazon and send you a link if i find one.

BCtruck, rebuild, repair,repurpose says:

i did another video after this. stanley saw this video and sent me a new thermos and i did a new video. the stanley was so close that i honestly would not be able to justify the large differance in price between the two. i would buy stanley.

BCtruck, rebuild, repair,repurpose says:

@DIYMakerman the nissan is the biggest one they make. its 60 ounces. the stanley is smaller but i dont remember by how much.i think its a little over half as big as the stanley because when i started mixing my coffee in the big one i nearly doubled the amount of sugar i put in to get it to taste like i was used to.

lmjhoney says:

I threw my Stanly thermos away as it was hopeless. The technology is not complex so why isn’t there a thermos that holds the heat for 12, 24 or even 48 hours.
If the heat drops the insulation clearly is not working.

EthanKReece says:

the new ones arent exactly the same as the aladdin ones the vintage ones and before 2002 were a lot better its a shame your old one wasnt at top shape sorry for ya man

cipmars says:

Maybe the Stanley was good enough when it was new. If they are vacum insulated, maybe it leaked and now it’s air insulated.

TordoLopez says:

Hi bctruck. Great review!. I had a Santley. Now I have a Thermos work bottle, model 2520. It really keep the coffe hot for a day, but I have this great problem with the stopper. It pours the water or coffe like crap. It makes me wet the table or my legs. The real problem comes when the watter is hot! I tried to put the stopper in every position but nothing worked. Well…..i miss my old stanley. PS. Sorry my english.

annagilda1 says:

Thanks for this video! I was literally about to hit buy on a Stanley, and thought I would just double check Youtube, to see what people had to say. I’m so glad you posted this vid! I bought a Thermos brand flask. It’s the second one I’ve owned, and I love it! Keeps food and drink hot for AGES!!! thank you again!

cipmars says:

@bctruck Oh, then it’s got no excuse. It has sucked from the very begining.

BCtruck, rebuild, repair,repurpose says:

@dh10au this might be true if i hadnt compared this nissan with a brand spanking new stanley in the very next video, with similar results. the heat los wasnt as pronounced, but it dint hold heat as long as the nissan even stil. im not knocking stanley, they sent me a brand new thermos and asked me to do another review when i got it. the results speak for themselves and im impressed with stanley for caring about my little comparison video.

BCtruck, rebuild, repair,repurpose says:

@barnett1129 your welcome .i hope i saved you from spending hard earned dollars on a stanley. i dont feel bad saying that now that i know they arent even made in america anymore.

BCtruck, rebuild, repair,repurpose says:

@sk8tafrnk no they where 61 (nissan) and 64 (stanley)

BCtruck, rebuild, repair,repurpose says:

@chevynova7177 you can get the nissan thermos far cheaper through amazon than you can at a store. i bought mine at bass pro shop,,,,then thought about amazon.

cipmars says:

@bctruck Waiting for it.

jason hullihen says:

sounds like one of those stanley thermoses with the glass lining.??? i just had to call stanley about my lunch box the aladin ones on your counter and let them no it was falling apart… they don’t make the lunch box anymore so they gave me an adventure kind piece of junk the dam thing flops all over when you put a thermos on it…

Michelle Ware says:

Thanks was waiting for this….

woknblues says:

With morons such as yourself, who would comment in very poor English so as not to be understood clearly, it is a wonder that good people even bother posting on youtube anymore.

Jeffrich308 says:

Thanks for the Video. I always considered Stanley the Cadillac of thermo’s and never gave anything else a chance.

BCtruck, rebuild, repair,repurpose says:

@WATCHMANTRUTH007 your welcome.

BCtruck, rebuild, repair,repurpose says:

@Jeffrich308 me to. i was suprised to see that much difference in heat retention. then a little mad that i paid so much for the stanley. i think they are about 25 bucks now.

Doomzdayxx says:

The Nissan seems like a pretty nice thermos, keeping that temperature for such a long time, however I did catch that you said tha after a few hours in cold weather, the Stanley would lose alot of temperature (with hot liquids). My first thought is there must of been some sort of vacuum leak because my old one(that I miss so much now) was a champ and got me through many cold days/nights(hot coffee or soup) as well as scorchers(cold water)

BCtruck, rebuild, repair,repurpose says:

@abushua i had no idea till i tested them side by side that there was this big a diiference

BCtruck, rebuild, repair,repurpose says:

@chevynova7177 the old thermos brand is not the same as the thermos by nissan. i don t have an old style thermos so i wasnt able to do a comparison to the stanley or nissan thermos. if you bought a nissan thermos you couldnt go wrong.fill it up in jacksonville and have hot coffee in el paso.

BCtruck, rebuild, repair,repurpose says:

@thayne559 youll be glad you did.

EpiDemic117 says:

your coffee might be cold because there is a potential vacuum leak in the stanley bottle. I’ve ran into two of them that had this issue.

BCtruck, rebuild, repair,repurpose says:

@DIYMakerman i payed way to much for mine at bass pro. i didnt know they could be had that cheap till after i bought it.

WATCHMANTRUTH007 says:

Thank you.

BCtruck, rebuild, repair,repurpose says:

@cipmars well i wouldnt say it sucks. i would say its not even in the same league as the nissan. however,at this very moment im in the middle of a test with the stanley to see if its capable of cooking rice which requires less heat and less time. i should have results up in a couple of hours.

MIKE CULP says:

With that much heat retention you could probably cook the beans without boiling for 5 minutes. Thanks for the video.

BCtruck, rebuild, repair,repurpose says:

@cipmars well i would consider that as a possibility if the stanley didnt keep coffee hot for the same length of time as when it was new

M Di Lello says:

American pride and arrogance, one is always the best, this is why they hate because everywhere in the world, really make me sick!

cspringer007 says:

This is so true. This is not the first or even second time I’ve seen an experiment just like this. What this guy found is 100% true.

BCtruck, rebuild, repair,repurpose says:

its not arrogance when you live in the best country the universe has ever seen. if it wasnt for my country, you would still be living in a third world pig farm,,,,, oh wait,,,,, you do! when there is starvation,it is america who sends ships with food,a pandemeic? america is right there handing out vaccines. we ask for nothing in return. what has you country done for the world? computers, nope that was us. eradicate any diseases? nope,us again. free any countries?nope, afraid that was us also.

thayne559 says:

Wow! Im getting a nissan

Haven says:

Big difference
