COSTCO! FILA Day Hiker Shoes! $19! is it worth it? Review

Ok i am not a shoe guy, just a guy who needed inexpensive shoes that will last longer than my last pair of Sketchers hiking shoes. Overall these Fila $20 fit the bill. You can get similar shoes at discount places for about $29. looks like hiking shoes but are closer to mesh leather cross trainers. they are light weight and airy. they are NOT water resistant so i would NOT take them hiking… i

These shoes are garbage. I’m pretty easy on sneakers. If I’m not using them for construction or work, they usually look presentable for a year. These had the sole wear FLAT after less than a month. The tread is foam covered by thin rubber to resemble something that’s a shoe.

Unless you wear these inside for working on smooth floors, do not buy.

I got 2 pairs from Costco so comfortable. I use it for work. I don’t feel my feet aching like other brands.

Update, mine wore so much in a month to make them unwearable. A month of casual dog walking. I returned them and got the Khombu hikers for $30 and they’re night and day better. A real boot comparable to $200 hiking shoes. Highly recommended.

Bought a pair today. They do have the feel of a running shoe but the tread definitely makes them more of trail shoe.
These are great looking shoes. They do run a tad bit big. Worth $20 for sure. Off to break ’em in! 🙂

I puchased (2) pairs — very worthwhile for the money

Thanks for the review, but to say this is more like a running show than a trail/hike show is not accurate.

I bought these Fila dayhikers at. Costco for $20. I wore them around town a few times, and just got done with 3 days of hiking in the Eastern Sierras- hikes of 12, 3, and 8 miles. The shoes are nearly worn out, they are NOT hiking shoes. The sole is very soft, and wears very quickly (many cuts in the rubber), and the Fila section under the ball is nearly worn through.Do not buy these and expect to use them for hiking.
