Trail magazine test drives the Keen Durand hiking shoe

We’re fans of Keen at Trail, so we couldn’t wait to get out feet in a pair of their Portland Oregon built Durand Mid WP boots, particularly as Keen were promising “Amazing comfort and unsurpassed durability from the first step to the millionth!”

Now that’s quite a promise, so we were ‘keen’ to put the Durands through their paces, albeit probably not 1 million of them. In this video, Trail magazine’s Oli Reed offers his first thoughts on the Durands, takes a look at some of their impressive features, and lets you know his thoughts on their ‘1 Million Step’ promise.

Hey You says:

just had mine delivered this morning. I tried every brand the keen Durand is by far the most comfortable boot ever fits like a glove, if I didn’t know any better I’d swear my foot was the mold used in the making of it.

I hunt in a pair of these. Best boots I’ve ever owned. Well worth the money.

Interesting that he was able to tell what it was like, as it clearly didn’t fit his foot properly, and simply pulling on the laces as was suggested won’t tighten them further down the foot, and is an amateurish mistake I wouldn’t expect from Trail mag. only the slickest systems will allow you to pull from the top eyelet and be able to tighten it properly from the bottom laces up.
