Howdy!

This is my review of the excellent Ohm 2.0 backpack from Ultralight Adventure Equipment, this is the pack I used on my 2015 thru-hike of the Appalachian trail.

– The pack weighs just over two pounds
– It has 63 litres of volume
– It costs 210 US Dollars

Hi Pie, Great review, I’ve only recently stumbled across the ULA OHM 2 and really liked your review of it. Prob one of the best reviews for the OHM Ive watched so far and thinking of ordering for my upcoming AT Section hike thru Virginia. On a side note, I couldn’t help noticing you were from UK when you came and hiked the AT. Just want to say thats great. You’ve prob seen and experienced more of America than probably 90% of Americans! People get so hung up on wanting to only go to big cities for shopping and nightlife (NY, DC, LA), they forget about the beauty of small rural areas, trails and National Parks :)

Did you meet Seven (Terry Coyle) on the At? The youtuber, that makes the Appalachian Trail Documentaries.

Nice thorough review. Thanks a lot for putting it together. Looking for a lightweight pack myself, your review will certainly help narrow down the choices. Subscribed.

This is a really great review of the Ohm 2.0…..thanks!

Excellent and comprehensive review. Outdoorgearlab tested the pack and also liked it. They commented that one of the packs they tested had a carbon fiber frame that splintered and suggested that this is a weak link in the pack in terms of durability. They said this is not a pack you want to sit on when full or toss around while traveling. Some manufacturers of ultralight packs use aluminum frames which Outdoorgearlab suggests are more durable. Do you have any comment on this, based on your experience?

Great review! Thanks for the info. I think I will pull the trigger on this one. Once I put it through its paces, I’ll post a review on my channel. Happy to be a new subscriber!

Any chance you’ll do a video on what was packed into the Ohm for the thru hike?

I’m in the process of purchasing a new pack. The information you provided is excellent. I really wanted to try the pack on prior to purchase but you and others basically said the company will stand behind the product. This is always good to hear. I have looked at packs with a hundred straps that make it look good but wonder about the function. The Ohm is a no nonsense pack for function and reliability. Thanks for the information and keep hiking.

Nice job! I love my ohm 2.0 as well!

you and Shug Emery are the only two really great reviews of this pack. extremely comprehensive. I just aquired the newest rendition of this pack and its hands down the perfect pack for me. your review helped a ton, hope youre still enjoying yours.

Colorado Slim says:

Great review, was wondering if ULA has fixed the issue you pointed out regarding the lower back area? I can’t seem to find it on their website. Thanks!!

You seem to have a smilar build to me. Did you use the normal J-curve shoulder straps or the S curve ones? I am looking to buy the OHM and trying to obtain some first hand information.

Excellent review – one of the best I’ve ever seen! Thank you so much! I was considering this pack and now, thanks to your comprehensive review, I am definitely sold on this pack. And I have to say it: your accent is wonderful to listen to! : ) Thanks again. Your review answered all the questions I’ve had about the Ohm.
